Some users may find a situation where they may have to change the GL Account type once they have been created, there are certain limitations to do this. The table illustrates the possibilities to change the type of the GL Account:

System-generated/embedded accounts are exposed once a feature is enabled in NetSuite. Modification of the Account Type of these system-generated accounts is not allowed by NetSuite. Account Type is grayed out even if there is no transaction posted against the account.
