Unable to see the “Links” under the “Categories” when creating a “Custom Centre”

After creating new Custom Centres and Categories, user sometimes will not be able to see the Categories or Links in the newly created Centre. This might be due to the Browser Cache. Once the Browser Cache is deleted the issue will be resolved.

User is using a Custom Role (e.g. Custom Accountant Role; Center Type is Accounting Center). The custom role has permission to Publish Dashboard. When user is publishing a dashboard, the Center Type defaults to Classic Center.

Custom Role using Classic Interface makes the center type of the Role default to Classic Center when publishing dashboard. To disable this preference, perform the following steps:

  • Navigate to Home > Set Preferences.
  • Click the Appearance tab.
  • In the Centers & Dashboards section, uncheck Use Classic Interface checkbox.
  • Click Save.
  • Navigate to Home dashboard.
  • Locate the Settings portlet.
  • Click Publish Dashboard.

Notice that center type field is correct. All roles (standard/custom) tied to the same center type becomes available as well.
